We are Drylands Agroecology Research, a 501c3 non profit based in Boulder County, Colorado.
Based out of our home farm, Elk Run farm, just south of Lyons, CO, we have been researching, designing, and building Regenerative Agricultural systems that will thrive in our semi arid climate.
These types of systems are the way of the future in agriculture, combining food production and land restoration with the goal of creating beautiful living human habitats, both large and small scale, that can withstand the current climate shifts and continue on long after we have passed.
These practices are real life solutions to virtually all of the problems we currently face as humanity; Living systems that provide all the natural resources that we need to live. From sequestering carbon in the soil, producing abundant food and cleaning and purifying the watershed to enriching our lives with the beauty and natural medicines of nature, this research is paramount to the resurgence of a balanced life on planet Earth.
So far, we have already established over 400 fruit and edible trees without any supplemental water, grown grain crops without irrigation, and restored land that was otherwise considered unsuitable for growing food.
When completed, our work will serve as a demonstration for these techniques and the power of the human intellect and tenacity to live in harmony with our surroundings and reverse the destruction of nature that modern industry and culture has created.
Now, we are asking for Help!
We are preparing to plant another 2000 fruit and other edible trees this spring and continue our research and implementation of these techniques.
Your support will give us the boost to complete this installation and continue our work restoring drylands climates into abundant, beautiful, food producing systems.
We are also beginning to consult and install these systems around the county. We are in need of many tools, including computers, machines and hand tools to further our ability to help others.
For every $50 donated, we will plant an edible tree in your name, a wonderful way to offset your carbon footprint and support the health of this thriving ecosystem. With your help and support, this dream will spread beyond our research facility and extend into the county at large.
All donations are 501c3 tax deductible

Also, any donations made will include you in our grand Carbon Sequestration Celebration and tree planting party with live music and fresh farm food on April 13th at Elk Run Farm.
We are very grateful for all the support of our community over the last 3 years, and thank you in advance for taking the time to contribute in doing something good for the Earth, ourselves, and the future generations to come.
