- This is Paul Craig. He had a stroke on September 23, 2024. He was in Northeast Georgia Hospital from September 23, 2024, to October 18, 2024. He was in the Physical Therapy Program for two weeks at Northeast Georgia Hospital. From the stroke, his left side of his body was affected. He could not move his left leg, his left arm, and he had no feeling in the left side of his face. Through much pain, therapy, and prayer, he can move his left leg some. The feeling in his face has come back. His left arm movement has not fully come back. He has Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapy twice a week and is improving slowly but surely. He had to get on Short Term Disability but has had difficulty trying to keep it going due to slow response from various medical practices. Hopefully, his Disability Insurance will get back on track after much talking with his Case Manager every other day. His therapists and doctors have been wonderful with his care. They tell him that full recovery could possibly happen within a year. We are praying and believing that will happen! God has been so good to him, and we thank Him every day for sparing his life! Paul has always worked hard at his career. He has been a Power Lineman for over 23 years, and he truly loves his work. We pray he will be able to go back to work in some capacity. But right now, the doctors do not have a return-to-work date. He has not received his Disability payments in 3 weeks. Like everyone, our bills come due every month. Paul is a diabetic and has hypertension, which requires medications that some run very high in cost even with his medical insurance. We are reaching out on GoFundMe to ask for any help. With a lot of prayer, we believe for a full recovery for Paul. He is a very good man and is loved by many. We thank anyone that can help! We hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas and remember Jesus is the Reason for the Season!
