Help Save Michael’s Life – Urgent Cancer Treatment Needed
Dear Friends, Family, and Kindhearted Strangers,
My name is Michelle, and I am reaching out with a desperate plea to help save my husband, Michael, in his fight for life.
Michael is battling cancer for the second time. Three years ago, he was diagnosed with esophageal cancer and bravely endured chemotherapy, radiation, and an esophagectomy. We were overjoyed when doctors declared him cancer-free, and we moved to Idaho to start fresh, closer to his family.
But just when we thought the fight was over, our world was shattered again. A scan revealed that the cancer has returned – this time in his spine and neck. His body can no longer endure chemotherapy or radiation. The doctors have told us that traditional treatment is no longer an option.
A Race Against Time
After endless research, Michael found Dr. Burzynski in Houston, Texas, a specialist who offers a revolutionary treatment with neoplasm and peptide injections. This non-toxic approach has given hope to many stage 4 cancer patients, and Michael is a candidate.
Dr. Burzynski believes that after six months of treatment, Michael will either be in full remission—or the cancer will be completely gone. This is our one and only chance.
Michael’s last scan was on Friday, and we expect a call on Monday to schedule treatment. But we need your help to get him there before it’s too late.
The Financial Challenge
Insurance will not cover this life-saving treatment. To start, we need:
• $24,000 upfront for the first phase of treatment
• $17,000 per month for the following five months
• $3,000 for a medical pump (which can be reimbursed later)
This is an enormous financial burden, and we cannot do it alone.
How You Can Help
Michael is a husband, father, son, brother, grandpa, and friend—a man who has spent his life caring for others. He never asks for help, but now, I am asking for him.
If you can find it in your heart to contribute, no matter the amount, you will be giving Michael a chance to live, to see his grandkids grow up, and to continue being the incredible man we all love.
We are also organizing fundraisers to help cover medical costs, including:
• A silent auction organized by Tammy with Tom’s Hot Shot
• Donations for the auction can be dropped off starting March 2 at 606 North Plains Dr., Gillette, Wyoming
• Items for the silent auction can be dropped off at the East Building
• A hair color by Michael’s daughter, Brookley (details coming soon!)
His old bandmates Empty Cask Band are brewing up something also
If you would like to donate an item for the auction or help in another way, please reach out.
I will be updating this GoFundMe as we continue to organize fundraisers and fight for Michael’s life.
Please donate if you can, and if you are unable to, please share this with others. Every bit of support brings us one step closer to saving Michael’s life.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you.
With love and gratitude,
Michelle & Family
