Mandy's Fight Against Cancer

Hello. My name is Amanda Hiern. My family&friends call me Mandy. Monday January 30, 2023 I was diagnosed with invasive ductal carcinoma breast cancer. It definitely came as a shock. I'm still processing. But I realize I'm going to need help from my community.

This week I've met with my surgeon and oncologist, 2 wonderful women. My care team assures me things look favorable. I'm having an MRI next week, as well as several other appts. I won't know until after my surgery if I need chemotherapy or radiation. Managing this and work will be very challenging. My surgery will require at least several weeks of recovery, followed by numerous treatments.

As some of you may know, my rent was recently increased dramatically. The amount I will be able to work driving for Uber&Lyft will be limited while I go undergo treatment. I need to make sure that my home is safe while I focus my energy on beating cancer. Any help you can give will be much appreciated.
