The Five Dollar Project

The Five Dollar Project is an international student-led climate organization that creates initiatives addressing the roots of climate change and how it perpetuates existing social inequities on a global scale.

We have currently hosted several events, including webinars on understanding climate anxiety, fundraising over $5,000 for COVID-19 relief for an Ecuadorian community, and social media campaigns on the origins of climate injustice, among other initiatives engaging over 300 participants from 5 continents. Our team members have also represented The Five Dollar Project in speaking at global conferences focused on children's rights and intersectional climate justice.

As a student organization, we depend on crowdfunding for both internal activity (website domain, buying essential materials for volunteers in physical events, etc).  We also rely on these donations when developing external initiatives (fundraisers for disaster relief,  small-scale investment in community, and more).

Any contribution made to this fundraiser will directly go towards funding our organization's structure and initiatives.

We are so thankful for each and every donor who chooses to support our work in building a sustainable future.
