Hello one and all.

My name is Vic, short for Victor. I'm updating this bio as I've had the opportunity to consider some feedback. My intention was always to be honest, but I think I need to redefine my plea.

GoFundMe exists for just that reason. I'm not about to cycle to Canada or run a marathon. Plenty of sites exist for worthy causes and charities. This is about me.

Those who know me well will understand that speaking publicly about my personal circumstances is rare. But I am asking for your support and you should know why.

I've had the privilege to work with some amazing people over the years. The summer camp, which has been indeed 'Our Very Special Place' has opened up the world to me. But, I've fallen into a routine which I'm now breaking free from. This was my final summer and I'm starting afresh. Making a change not only in my ownlife but hopefully those I continue to encounter on my path.

I had said in the original message that this site was to help pay for my rent and travels and that is still true. I am asking the people in my life to consider it as a loan. That I am not heading off on a bender boozing it up. Why should I travel if I can't afford rent, you have asked ? Well, here it is.

Two years ago, I met a truly unique individual who has offered me the strength to take a hard look at my life and make the changes needed to move on to my next chapter. Changes which I've needed since I can remember. 

I'm heading to the UK not for a holiday but to start this new adventure, but more importantly, to start again.

I won't dress this up with emotional vocabulary or pleas.

Thank you in advance to whomever donates anything at all. I also thank all of my friends who've supported me emotionally throughout the years!
