Help My Mom in Her Fight for Life (Spanish version)
Mi nombre es Laura Gimenez, y les escribo para compartir una petición muy personal y urgente. Mi mamá, Dilxia Coromoto Torres Isea, siempre ha sido el pilar de nuestra familia y ha estado en pie de lucha trabajando a pesar de la situation del pais. Entrego su vida a educar a muchos Estudiantes y a la vez estudiar para formarse como profesional. Mi mama siempre ha apoyado la familia a pesar de sus pocos recursos, mi familia no es una familia con dinero, pero hoy en dia es ella quien nos necesita.
Con 70 años, mi mamá enfrenta una batalla por su vida, y recurro a ustedes con la esperanza de reunir el apoyo que tan desesperadamente necesitamos. Recientemente, a mi mamá le diagnosticaron Insuficiencia Mitral y Tricuspídea Severas, junto con un Defecto del Septo Atrial (CIA). Su condición aunque actualmente es estable porque toma sus medicamentos, su corazon es una bomba de tiempo potencialmente mortal y requiere una cirugía inmediata y compleja.
Según el diagnostico de los médicos de la Unidad Cardiovascular de Ascardio, ella necesita urgentemente un reemplazo de la Válvula Mitral con una Prótesis Biológica, una Anuloplastia Tricuspídea con un Anillo, y una Reparación del Septo Atrial. Estas cirugías críticas deben realizarse pronto para darle una oportunidad de supervivencia.
Mi mamá es mucho más que una paciente o una estadística. Ella es el corazón de nuestra familia, siempre poniendo a los demás por delante de sí misma y sobre todo ayudandome a mi a mantener vivo nuestro pequeno negocio en Venezuela a pesar de su enfermedad. Lamentablemente no estoy en Venezuela para apoyarla por razones que muchos conocen, Tengo tres years sin Verla y me duele no estar alla para ayudarla. Ella ha dado tanto al mundo, y ahora es nuestro turno de ayudarla a seguir viviendo una vida plena. El tiempo no está de nuestro lado. Cada día que pasa sin esta cirugía es una riesgo y nos acerca más a perderla.
Por favor, mantengan a mi mamá en sus pensamientos y oraciones durante este difícil momento, y gracias por tomarse el tiempo de leer nuestra historia. Today ayudar que reciba sera agradecida por mi familia y ustedes seran bendecidos por Dios por ayudarme. Me toco vivir esta experiencia dura, pero Tengo Fe.

My name is Laura Gimenez, and I am writing to share a very personal and urgent request. My mother, Dilxia Coromoto Torres Isea, has always been the pillar of our family and has been on the front line working despite the situation in the country. She dedicated her life to educating many students and at the same time studying to become a professional. My mother has always supported the family despite their limited resources. My family is not a wealthy family, but today she is the one who needs us.
At 70 years old, my mother is facing a battle for her life, and I am turning to you in hopes of gathering the support we so desperately need. Recently, my mother was diagnosed with Severe Mitral and Tricuspid Regurgitation, along with an Atrial Septal Defect (ASD). Although her condition is currently stable because she is taking her medications, her heart is a potentially fatal time bomb and requires immediate and complex surgery.
According to the diagnosis from the doctors at the Ascardio Cardiovascular Unit, she urgently needs a Mitral Valve Replacement with a Biologic Prosthesis, a Tricuspid Annuloplasty with a Ring, and an Atrial Septal Repair. These critical surgeries must be performed soon to give her a chance of survival.
My mom is much more than a patient or a statistic. She is the heart of our family, always putting others before herself and most of all helping me keep our small business in Venezuela alive despite her illness. Unfortunately I am not in Venezuela to support her for reasons that many know, 3 years without seeing her, it hurts cant be in my country to help her. She has given so much to the world, and now it is our turn to help her continue to live a full life. Time is not on our side. Every day that passes without this surgery is a risk and brings us closer to losing her.
Please keep my mom in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time, and thank you for taking the time to read our story. Today any help I receive will be appreciated by my family and you will be blessed by God for helping me. I had to live through this difficult experience, but I have faith.
