Horses, being the powerful and intuitive creatures that they are, help us move forward out of past patterns, blocks, and ways of being/doing that no longer work. They help us find self-love and happiness.
Everyone deserves a chance at this healing yet not everyone can afford it, especially many non-profit groups.
Together with the horses I get to work with, we find purpose in helping people become better versions of themselves and watching them transform grief into possibilities, stuckness into solutions, and fear into love.
We want to give back to the community through scholarships. We will gift a 1 hour scholarship to a person in need for every $150 raised or 1 group workshop for every $500 raised. All of your donations matter and count!
This is also an opportunity for YOU, meaning that you can also donate $150 or more and receive a session or gift it to a loved one.
You can also suggest local Los Angeles people and groups who may be in need as well. There are many suffering in our community and with your financial support their lives can be changed for the better!
Some of the groups I want to scholarship are:
- At-risk youth
- Foster children
- Battered women
- Homeless individuals
- Veterans with PTS
- Ex-prisoners/ex-gang members who are in rehabilitation
- People who are grieving from loss of loved ones, esp. from natural disasters or other public tragedies
Please share this link widely with your community as well. We are grateful for your generosity and kindness.
Wishing you horses, love and happiness,
Katie & Horses
On Crowdrise (where this fundraiser started) we have already raised $1,008 (almost 10% of our goal!)
from these incredible and generous donors:
Mom & Dad
Shazara and Tara
Nick & Joce
Together, we have helped many people like the following who were gifted sessions (names changed):
Jessa - Teen who struggled with self-hatred and was on academic probation because she wasn't showing up for herself or her schoolwork. She received lessons on self-love, respect, and commitment and now is smiling at school and with her friends.
Sandra - Single mom who was on food stamps and wass struggling financially to provide for herself and her family. She was ready to step further into her creative passions so she could make a living doing what she loves while taking care of herself and her kids. She now runs her own company!
Carol - Almost-retired and feeling paralyzed by fear and insecurities so she barely left her home. She worked with us so she could have something positive in her life to look forward to and she expanded in self-love, self-confidence, and courage.
Rachel - A retired woman who had a major health issues, long-standing resentment, and emotional pain from childhood. She needed a big re-boot as she prepared for surgery which went incredibly well and she is healing and feeling happy with her life.
