March 25, 2024 our lives were forever changed. Amanda could not be woken up and she was rushed to the hospital. When she finally woke up, she didn't know her date of birth, the date and other details. She had a CT and the doctors told us she had a mass size of a lime on her brain. Amanda was transferred to Jefferson Hospital Neuroscience and had MRI scans and other testing. Craniotomy surgery was performed on March 27, 2024.

April 8, 2024 we were provided biopsy results and treatment plan. Amanda was diagnosed with stage 4 Glioblastoma brain cancer. First round of treatment will include 5 days a week of radiation for 6 weeks along with chemo 7 days a week. Then she will have 4 weeks off of treatment. Second round of treatment will include additional chemo that will be 5 days on and 23 days off for 6 rounds. During that time, she will start wearing a device called Optune for 18 hours a day for an undetermined time and is electricity fields that can slow down the cancer.

Unfortunately, there is no cure for GBM and with treatment doctors believe Amanda has about 2 years. Amanda is in very good spirits and plans to continue living life and making memories. We are very strong in our faith and believe wholeheartedly that God will heal her and this will all just be part of her testimony. Amanda knows God has big plans for her.

As of now Amanda will be unable to work do to surgery recovery, treatment and the fact that she now needs to depend on others to help her with some daily tasks she can no longer do herself. Amanda still has memory loss and we are hopeful all memory will be restored. As expected, medical treatment is very expensive even with insurance and going to Philadelphia 5 days a week and paying for gas and parking will be expensive. All donations will be for medical bills and treatment in Philadelphia.
