We are reaching out on behalf of our brother, John, who is navigating a difficult medical journey. For the past nine years, John has bravely faced end-stage renal failure, relying on dialysis while waiting for a life-saving kidney. This past summer, John finally received a kidney transplant.

Unfortunately, the hope and relief of the transplant were short-lived. The transplanted kidney had unforeseen quality issues, forcing John into a difficult and prolonged fight for his health. The medical team has been working tirelessly to stabilize the new organ, but the resulting challenges have been immense. John has required numerous blood transfusions and is on a constantly shifting regimen of expensive medications, many of which carry challenging side effects. He has been hospitalized multiple times, leading to significant lost income and an immense physical and mental toll.

Due to the severity and duration of his illness, John is now unable to work. Despite his many years of service, he is facing challenges in extending his medical leave, which has devastating consequences for his family, as they struggle to manage day-to-day expenses, including medical co-pays and prescription costs, without his salary.

The financial pressure has only amplified the already immense emotional stress and worry about John's life and health. We have started this GoFundMe to give John, his wife Lucy, and their two children the crucial peace of mind they desperately need right now. Every donation will go directly toward alleviating their financial burden, allowing them to focus on John’s recovery.
