Hello everyone,

My name is Laura. I come to you today in a time of need, not just for myself, but for my family.

I'm a single mother to a wonderful 8-year-old son, who is my everything. We've been through a lot together. However, recently we've faced some significant challenges.

In September 2021, my mother, who was living with us at the time, suffered a medical emergency that left her with severe health complications. Despite undergoing surgery and surviving, she now requires full-time care in a nursing home, leaving us without her financial support.

Additionally, my aunt, who also lived with us, tragically passed away after battling pneumonia, leaving me to care for her and ultimately make the heart-wrenching decision to let her go.

These circumstances led me to take a leave of absence from my job to care for my son and manage my own mental health challenges, including PTSD, anxiety, and depression.

I've set a goal of $40,000 to cover the back payments on our mortgage, home equity loan, car loan, and outstanding bills, providing us with a much-needed safety net while I continue my job search.

Your donations will go directly towards preventing foreclosure on our home, ensuring my son and I have a stable place to live. Additionally, they will cover essential expenses like utilities, car payments, and insurance, giving us breathing room during this difficult time.
