Three months ago, our hearts were shattered at the sudden and tragic loss of one of this world's brightest lights, Blake Groulx. Blake is a person who could put a smile on anyone's face and a host whose table was always open and always had room for one more. For his family, friends and really anyone lucky enough to get to meet him, there is an immeasurable emotional weight that we will always carry with us next to that love he gave so many.

For Blake's partner, James, on top of this emotional weight came unexpected financial burden. Having just excitedly moved in together in April, James suddenly faced a doubling of costs originally intended to be shared across two boys who love each other very much.

While I feel helpless most of the time to remedy the devastation, the emotional weight James is carrying, I'm hoping that with the help of those that love Blake, James and I, we might be able to alleviate some of the additional financial burden that James never could have or should have ever needed to plan for.
