Dominique “Nicky” Hurd was born and raised in Fort Worth, TX. After graduating from Eastern Hills High School in 1997, Nicky enrolled at the University of Pine Bluff (UAPB).

On December 14, 1998, 19 year old Nicky Hurd died tragically and unexpectedly. The UAPB National Alumni-Dallas Fort Worth Chapter established the Dominique Hurd Memorial Scholarship in remembrance of Nicky’s spirit and boundless enthusiasm for life.

Her scholarship is given yearly to deserving Dallas-Fort Worth Motorplex High school graduates and returning university students. Scholarship amounts are based on financial need, academic performance and personal need academic performance and person character, and amounts are paid directly to the University in the name of the recipient.

Proceeds from this annual fundraiser will go to the Dominique Hurd Memorial  Scholarship Fund.

Nicky’s family, UAPB, EHHS c/o 97 Alumini and friends thank you for supporting this scholarship and the memory of this Most Spirited Cheerleader.
