Hi. My name is Dianne, and I've just had the worst thing happen to me that can happen to any parent.
On September 26th, 2021, my 38 year old son, Brian Scott Bowling, passed away from severe complications from diabetes. In April of 2019, he was receiving a blood transfusion for an infection when he suddenly said, "I can't breathe". His heart stopped. After 30 minutes of effort, the hospital staff was able to revive him. As they were transporting him to a bigger hospital, his heart stopped again, for another ten minutes.
Despite the valiant efforts of the medical staff, Brian never woke up again. He was at the Rock Castle center in Mt. Vernon KY for two years--where, again, another transfusion triggered another heart attack.
After yet another heart attack last week, hospital staff informed his father that they had done all they could, and it was only a matter of time. On Sunday, he slipped away at last.
We've never had much money, and Brian was on disability. We simply do not have the funds, even for a simple cremation. If you can spare anything at all to help us lay our son to rest, we would greatly appreciate it. Thank you.
