Help Jan in the Fight of Her Life

Hi you guys, my name is Linda Stogner, as you may know, my longtime pal and comedy cohort, Jan Norton, had major surgery in early October and sadly, was diagnosed with ovarian cancer.

Jan and I have been close friends for more than 35 years. We’ve been best buds for so long, Jan is truly my sister. She is a talented actress and comedian. She has appeared on stage and in independent films. She has performed comedy locally and in various clubs around the country, and is currently a member of the award-winning stand-up comedy group, Four Funny Females. Jan is also co-owner of Backdoor Comedy, the comedy club we started over 30 years ago, providing stage time for local comics for more than three decades. She has brought years of smiles to people, near and far.

Since the diagnosis, her road to recovery has been extremely rough. With tons of complications and many setbacks, she has not been able to heal properly and has lost a ton of strength. The doctors and medical professionals have sent her to facility after facility and the health problems continue to grow. She needs skilled nursing, physical therapy, regular nursing care, medical supplies, cancer treatments, and tons more. Even with insurance, the medical expenses continue to mount.

She has tried to stay positive but it is getting more and more difficult. And with the cancer, she has an even longer road of healing ahead of her to get back to all the things she loves. She was hesitant to ask for assistance, because she has always been so strong, she thought she could beat it, no problem. But the challenge has become too great, and now, our dear friend needs our help.

Expenses add up very quickly and insurance only covers so much. Anything that you can contribute will help cover what insurance doesn’t and enable Jan to focus only on getting better.
