My name is Brooke, and I'm reaching out for help with my best friend and service dog, Tobi. Tobi has supported me through some of the toughest times in my life and yesterday he tore a ligament in his knee and needs surgery to repair it.
A little about Tobi and me: I first got Tobi when he was just three months old, shortly after I was diagnosed with stage 3 cancer during my freshman year of college. He has been by my side through thick and thin, through every treatment, every tough day, every emotional breakdown, and every new adventure. I don't think I would have made it to graduation without him.
He's been with me through it all, from college to various workplaces, including the Oakland Zoo, Sonoma State Historic Parks, Wind Cave National Park, and now Redwoods State and National Park. Tobi has always taken care of me, providing the love and support I needed to overcome some of the biggest challenges of my life.
Now, Tobi needs me, and I want to be there for him just as he has been there for me. The surgery he needs is expensive, and as a seasonal employee, my financial situation makes it hard to afford such an unexpected expense. This is why I'm turning to the kindness and generosity of others.
Tobi has given me so much, and I want to ensure he gets the care he needs to continue living a happy, healthy life. So please consider donating to help cover the cost of Tobi's surgery. Every little bit helps, and your support means the world to us. Thank you for taking the time to read our story and for any help you can provide.
