Help Evacuate My Family From Gaza

Donation protected
Ever since the war broke out in Gaza, my life has been at a standstill.

Whilst I am currently safe in Canada, my immediate family members in Gaza have endured weeks of violence, surviving what can only be described as the genocide of the Palestinian people.

My name is Amani Albarayka, and on behalf of my family we’re asking for your help. I moved to Canada in August, just before the war started, but my father, mother, sister alongside her fiancé have been stuck in Gaza.

From the very beginning of the aggression, my family's house which is located in Gaza city was bombed by an airstrike. My family lost their warm home and currently are displaced in Rafah city. My sister got engaged on Dec. 25th and she should be living her best life by now. Instead, she lost her house and is currently a refugee in the south of Gaza.

The situation has deteriorated, and people are starving. I have been feeling extremely guilty for eating, sleeping and having a safe home here in Canada while my parents, sister along with her fiancé are facing starvation and death.

Now, there is a beacon of hope. The Canadian government is launching a crisis program, allowing Canadian passport holders an opportunity to help evacuate their families to the safety of Canada. As I have another sister here in Canada, Raghda, who is a Canadian citizen, we'll be able to apply. This is our only chance to save them. After the severe trauma they have experienced in Gaza, they now have a chance to escape a certain death.

My elderly parents need to heal from what they have experienced, my sister needs to experience some happy moments with her fiancé and all Palestinians need to live a decent life.

The funds raised will go towards covering the costs of their relocation, travel expenses, accommodation and initial living expenses while they set themselves up.

Finally, I would like to extend my gratitude to those who step in and donate. Every single donation will definitely make a difference and will alleviate the suffering of a human being.
