Help Buddy Beat Cancer
Donation protected
Buddy is a rescue dog who came to our family from an abusive home where he was chained up on concrete outside without food or company. He has been a best friend and sidekick for almost 9 years now. He loves cats, other dogs, and children, and is afraid of thunderstorms, fireworks, and the vacuum. Buddy loves to eat string cheese, blueberries, and turkey, and he loves to cuddle and take naps on the couch. He enjoys wearing sweaters and occasionally tolerates wearing hats.
Last May, Buddy was diagnosed with Large Cell Lymphoma on a routine trip to the vet for a nail trim and annual exam. He underwent THOP protocol chemotherapy at a Virginia Tech Animal Cancer Research Center and went into remission after his first full round. He finished the full course of Chemotherapy at the end of August and remained in remission until the beginning of this year.
Unfortunately, Buddy is once again experiencing the beginning signs of Lymphoma and the Lymph Nodes in his chest have begun to press on his trachea, causing him to cough. There is currently no signs of Lymphoma circulating in his blood, and Buddy is currently a very happy and (otherwise) healthy boy.
Our hope is that given how high his quality of life currently is, that the cancer was caught very early, and that he has responded well to chemotherapy in the past, we can send him back into remission quickly and Buddy can continue to live to a happy old age. Any money donated will go directly to his care, to chemotherapy, anti nausea medications, IV sedation for his appointments, imaging before and during his treatment to track his progress, blood tests, and a celebratory pup cup when he is once again cancer free.
