Help Ashlee Battle COVID-19

Donation protected
Ashlee was tested for COVID19 on Tuesday, April 21st. On Wednesday, April 22nd, at around 10 PM, she was called with test results. She was positive for COVID19, and was told to stay home, take acetaminophen and to head to the ER if it became hard to breath.

On Thursday, April 23rd, Ashlee reached out on social media to see if anyone had an oximeter she could borrow because she was so out of breath. A friend was able to locate one and it was discovered that her oxygen was in the 70's. At that time Ashlee was brought into the E.R. and was isolated immediately, along with being taken to the I.C.U., where she was put on a BiPap to raise her oxygen levels.

On Friday, April 24th, Ashlee was given the experimental drug combo hydroxychloroquine, zpack. Unfortunately because she developed abnormal heart rhythm the drug was discontinued. She was switched to Tocilizumab, an IL6 inhibitor, to try to interrupt the cytokine storm that was ravaging her lungs. She held her own, but her 02 had to be increased to keep her levels between 93 and 94.

By Monday, April 27th, Ashlee was very tired and it was decided she needed to be put under and placed on a ventilator. The next day, with her family as her advocates, she was accepted into the plasma study as the 3rd patient to receive it at Sanford in Fargo. Plasma was to be ordered from Mayo Clinic Wednesday morning, to be infused Wednesday afternoon. But on Wednesday morning family were called at 7:45 a.m. and told that she would be infused with plasma already at the hospital.

As of Friday, May 1st Ashlee had completed her plasma infusion, and continues to be on the ventilator. All who know Ashlee know what a kind, helpful, caring, compassionate person she is. It is our hope that no matter how big or small, you would find it possible to contribute to this fundraiser for her. All funds raised will go towards expenses related to this illness, as well as living expenses while Ashlee is unable to work and remains hospitalized.
