Family and Friends,

In early November he was treated at Lakewood ER and was discharged. Family had intervened because he was not capable of taking care of himself. Phillip was admitted to Long Beach Memorial because his health condition was not improving. In the beginning of his hospitalization, the doctors were finding it difficult to diagnose what exactly was ailing him. Over the course of this time, he rapidly began to deteriorate. 

For the past 3 weeks, Phillip, with his strong belief in God’s love and grace he valiantly fought his illness. Unfortunately, on the early morning of November 24th the Lord decided to receive our loving son, father, brother, cousin and uncle at 49 years old.

He is survived by his former wife, best friend and mother of their children, Diane along with his two children, Roman, 15 and Leah, 12. Phillip actively supported his children in their activities. He was most proud of being a father. His children were the absolute loves of his life.

Our family will always remember him for his love of music, his funny impressions and his smooth dancing skills.  We will forever miss his amazing grilling abilities at the annual 4th of July block party where he would make sure that there was always enough for everyone and served as a testament to what a beautiful heart he had. 

As we prepare to say farewell and celebrate his life, the family would be grateful for any donations in this trying time.  This came as a truly unexpected situation and we want to continue to support his family.
