In 1992 my uncle Wendel was hit by a drunk driver while changing his car tire on the side of the highway causing him to be paralyzed from the waist down. In the 20 + years he was paralyzed he continued to live his life on his own never wanting to burden anyone by having to help him. Within the last 5 weeks of his life he developed bed sores on his butt that quickly turned into a flesh eating disease. When neighbors didn't see him in the last four days maintainance was notified to check on him where is was found unconscious in his bed dying. Doctors tried to save him where they were unsucssesful due to the spread of the disease and organs shutting down. Yesterday we took his breathing tube off where I watched him try to breath on his own for 30 min until my grandma finally came in and said to him "it's ok Wendel you can let go and go home" "I love you "just then he took his last two breaths and Left us.
This account is to help my grandma and my uncles 6 kids lay him to rest ANYTHING at all will help.
