Hi my name is Daniel Hernandez I am 17 years old and a Boy Scout from troop 78 based in Nanuet, Ny. I am embarking on a journey with the goal of obtaining Eagle. I’ve decided to start my trail for eagle because of my brother. He is truly an inspiration not only to me but to many others as well. I looked up to him for my entire life, and when I saw the pride and joy on his face when he got to finally wear the eagle badge I knew from the bottom of my heart that I too wanted to become an Eagle scout. Over the years I have come to love scouting for its entirety and I have created bonds with my friends that cannot be forged anywhere else. I can truly call these guys my brothers. 
 For my eagle project I plan on demolishing pre-existing entrance pillars and constructing new ones at my Church St. Boniface which is located at 5 Willow Tree Rd, Wesley Hills, NY 10952. My church is very near and dear to my heart because I was baptized there, I also received my first communion and confirmation at this church. I continue to go most Sundays and I am also an Altar Server.  Over the years the two entrance Pillars have been worn down and are currently falling apart. They received some repair two years ago when a car crashed into one of them. But the repairs were done poorly so it is starting to look worse as the days pass. These pillars are ruining the parishes curb appeal and people are not appreciating it as the great community it really is.
