I am asking everyone and anyone to please take a few minutes of your day to read this story and try to relate and help our family.
Growing up I was blessed with a twin brother and a home oozing with love, warmth, honesty, and two of the hardest working parents I know. My brother and I never wanted for anything. Our mom and dad were always there threw it all, they never judged, they were always there to talk to and most of all they were always there when we needed them. A scrapped knee, a broken heart, they were there. Growing up with parents like that and still to this day is an absolute gift. My father was and still is one of the hardest if not the hardest working individuals I have ever met and 9 times out of 10 anyone will tell you the same. My father, Tom, would give a stranger the shirt off his back and the last dollar in his pocket. Words can not even begin to describe how incredible of a man my dad is. He is a real life super hero to me and my brother. My parents have been together for 20 plus years and each day they remind me that true love, fairy tales, magic, and miracles do exist and that’s why I am writing this, because my family needs a real life miracle. About a year ago my dad was diagnosed with early onset stages of dementia. My father is 57. Each and every day he still does his best help anyone out and keeps his spirits high. Due to this tragic diagnosis my hard working superhero of a father is unable to maintain a steady job because he sometimes is forgetful and not many people have the patients to explain things to him. My dad has to have a medical brain scan done very soon so we can hopefully get him on a track to lengthen the time he has mentally with us. This procedure is by no means cheap but it has to be done. My mom who also may I add is one of the hardest workers is the Only income in the household and neither her or my father have health insurance because they simply can not afford it. I need my father. There are so many life events myself, my twin brother, and my mom need him for. I need him to remember holding his first grand child, I need him to be there, we all do. I’m begging along with my family to please help us. Save our family and allow my father to remember.
