Medical Bills and living expense

Our world was turned upside down August 2013 when an image revealed that Doug had a large tumor wrapped around his spine. Doug was taken from Three Rivers Hospital in Grants Pass Oregon, to OHSU in Portland Oregon where he spent a total of 10 days (3 days in ICU) all the while doctors were trying to figure out what to do. The tumor had taken over most of Doug's lower spine, which would require major surgery. After many trips to Portland, and about 4 months of Chemo, we were told the Cancer was no longer showing in Doug and we could go forward with surgery. In January 2014 Doug went into a surgery which lasted a total of 12 hours. Surgeons took the remaining tumor through his stomach and then turned him over and went in through his back to stabilize his spine with metal rods, plates and screws. A blood draw in the following days showed that the cancer was back. The doctors told us it was a very, very aggressive cancer and that it was spreading fast. The cancer has now spread to his Liver and Lungs. Doug has been given a 50/50 percent chance this time around: we are praying he can receive a needed stem cell transplant in the next month or two, however, we will not know if that is possible until the end of April. Doug has not been able to work during this time and we are trying to survive on my income alone. We need help with traveling expenses, lodging and some medical bills that are not covered. If Doug is able to do a stem cell transplant, he will be in the hospital for about approximately one month; afterwards will have to stay in Portland for about another month or so. Anything you can do will help. Don't think that $5 or $10 won't help. It will! It will help me buy a gallon of gas or put a spaghetti dinner on my table. Thank you and God bless you!
