The Lowe Family

We are Karen Evans and Deb Walton. Some really close friends of ours had family members who were in a horrible accident on Father’s Day, June 18th.

Tim Lowe and his family-Christie (wife) and daughters Maggie (19), Julia (15) and Gwynny (12), were headed to Pensacola for a beach vacation. They were hit by a drunk driver which resulted in the fatal accident. Christie and Maggie did not survive the accident and left Tim with major injuries requiring surgery, Gywnny with injuries including a broken arm and Julia with some minor injuries. All required hospital stays and will require multiple weeks of therapy and more medical evaluations. Tim underwent an in-depth surgery to place a rod in his femur and sustained broken ribs, pelvic fractures, neck fracture, shoulder fracture, possible ligament damage in his ankle and 2 small brain bleeds and remains in the hospital. Gwynny also remains in the hospital for her injuries but is stable. Julia has been released and is staying with family members there near the hospital.

Expenses will continue to pile up with 2 funerals, medical bills, housing, groceries, and other daily essentials needed while they are away from their home in Pelham, AL. We are asking, if you are able, to please donate what you can to help assist this family in their time of need.

Tim is the son and stepson of Brenda and Sammy Skinner of Alabaster, AL. Tim and his family reside in Pelham, AL. Christie was employed at UAB and Maggie was a student at the University of Alabama. Both Julia and Gwynny are students in Pelham City Schools.
