Positive things happening in difficult situations...

My name is Kate. I have been talking with Ibrahim A Qudeih in Gaza for several months now. I have the greatest respect for him and his family as they survive the harsh conditions in Gaza. Ibrahim is one of many Palestinians who has lost everything in recent months and is now displaced with his family.

It has been a real eye opener for me to be in direct contact with a family actually experiencing life as displaced people and hearing the terror and bombs dropping around them. Seeing Ibrahim's children sleep on the street having walked for miles had a profound affect on me as I lay in my safe warm bed.

I am in awe of Ibrahim's resilience and creativity. He works incredibly hard to make life better for people around him. He and a team of others have been working on a humanitarian project to provide some sort of education for the children, as the schools have been destroyed.

The project is called DRAW A SMILE and the money raised will be used to buy education resources so that the children can learn and also for food so that they have so.ethung to eat at school.

The children need this desperately, not just for education but for some sort of stability and normality in the chaos, grief and traumatic cricumstances that they are in. Ibrahim has managed to source some items for the school and it would be fantastic for this to continue and grow.

I can promise you that every penny will reach this important project in Gaza. Our team here in the UK is working with Ibrahim's team in Gaza.
