Uplifting Moe

We (Moe's single,divorced mother), her biological family, her Church of Christ family, her friends and neighbors know that "The race is not always to the swift...but to those that keep on running."

Marion Ozella Edwards, Moe, was born 3 months prematurely with significant brain injuries. Only expected to live 2 to 3 years, Moe has endured countless medical procedures and therapies and has beaten the odds, celebrating her twenty sixth birthday this year.

At this time Moe is in trouble.  Her fascial system( connective tissue of the body) is closing in on her, via scoliosis.   Twisting  her spine and moving into her throat, Moe is experiencing debilitating pain throughout her body and experiencing difficulty eating and swallowing. Moe has lost a considerable amount of weight and lost some of her vocal means of communication. Moe can not continue down this path.

We know that intensive treatment at the Myofascial Release Clinic in Philadelphia will give her a fighting chance. The cost of this treatment, travel and lodging for Moe, her mom and a nurse is $29,400 which is not covered by her insurance.
