I am trying to raise money for my nephew Jonathan, who recently fell ill and was in the hospital, in intermediate ICU for 2.5 weeks. This journey began back in December when he wasn't feeling well and overall exhausted. He chalked it up to the common winter cold. It lingered, antibiotics did not help. Eventually, it all came to a head when he woke up one morning filled with fluid from head to toe. True to his independent self, he drove himself to the ER. His blood pressure sky high, losing blood from somewhere and kidneys failing they admitted him.

Test, after test, several units of blood, and lots of medications later they determined that he has Lupus and his kidneys were failing. They immediately started dialysis to rid his body of the fluid and the toxins. This went on for 2.5 weeks until he finally stabilized. His kidneys are still not working properly and he requires dialysis 3 days a week, medications and a very specific diet. As you can imagine, after all of this, he is not back at work and will not be for several months. This is all adding up and becoming a big financial concern and our hope is that you might be able to help reduce some of the burden.
