Project Hope , founded in 2020, is a non-profit venture promoting education amongst under-served communities in Pakistan.

At Project Hope, we believe in promoting a world where every child can have access to quality education to create a brighter future for themselves and their community. We do that by partnering with local organisations and families to deliver necessary educational programs and resources to under-serviced communities in Pakistan.

Currently, Project Hope is supporting three main causes: Abba Home Orphanage for Girls, the Gill Family, and the Shah Family.

Abba Home Orphanage is situated in Lahore, Pakistan. It’s mission is "to empower oppressed, depressed, and deprived orphan girls". They have a vision to see "orphan girls living a prosperous life utilizing their potentials, overcoming violence, and contributing their best to the development of family, community and civil society".

The orphanage is currently housing 50 Pakistani orphan girls (aged 6 to 16 years) from various difficult and traumatic backgrounds. Project Hope would like to extend you the opportunity to invest in the education of the girls in their care for the 2025 school year.

9,000 PKR (Pakistani Rupees) can fund one girl's academic and school supplies for the entire school year in 2025, including stationery, books, uniforms, and extra-curricular activities such as swimming and educational excursions.

At the current currency exchange rate (i.e. $1AUD = 173.74PKR as at 08/01/25), 9,000PKR approximates to $51.80AUD (Australian Dollars) per girl.

Any donation, big or small, would be greatly appreciated to support this vital cause of education for under-privileged girls in Pakistan. Funds raised will be donated to cover the annual academic costs for the girls, as well as additional costs for the general management of the orphanage including clothing for the girls, food supplies, wages for staff, and general facility bills.

Sara Gill is a 40-year-old widow living in a rural Punjabi village in Pakistan. Her husband died of tuberculosis a few years ago, leaving her with 4 young children aged approximately 8 to 14 years old, and no means to independently support herself. Through Project Hope we are supporting her children to access better quality education so that they can go on to become equipped with the knowledge, expertise, and confidence they need to live meaningful and fulfilling lives above the poverty line.

Project Hope is committed to seeing Sara’s children achieve their potential throughout their education from Grade 1 through to University, depending on each child’s preferred educational goals. In 2025, Kashi Gill is enrolled in Grade 3, Ruby Gill is enrolled in Grade 6, Yasmin Gill in Grade 7, and Rohan Gill in Grade 9.

For more information about the Gill Family and their support needs, please visit the Project Hope website.

The Shah Family live in a rural Punjabi village in Pakistan. Dependent mostly on horticulture, they rely on selling produce from their farming and livestock for income which is often not enough to meet their living costs.

From January 2020 to December 2022, Project Hope financially supported Haroon Shah to complete his university studies. In December 2022, Haroon graduated with a dual degree (Bachelor of Mathematics/ Bachelor of Computer Science) from Forman Christian (FC) College, in Lahore, Pakistan.

Raj Shah, is currently employed as an Operations Manager by Project Hope to manage on-the-ground logistics in Pakistan. Raj also assists Project Hope by managing and carrying out responsibilities associated with the support currently being offered to the Gill Family.

Your donation will ensure that Raj is able to continue his vital role as Operations Manager for Project Hope.

Your contribution to Project Hope, however big or small, is greatly valued. These funds are needed by the end of February 2025 to ensure adequate supplies for the 2025 school year in Pakistan.

Thank you in advance for your support of education for underserviced communities in Pakistan, an issue very close to our hearts at Project Hope .
