Hi Everyone
As you may know David had a Cardiac Arrest on 17th October while teaching in Liverpool. He was extremely lucky and the stars aligned; someone started CPR; the Paramedics responded in 5 minutes, and he was near the most amazing hospital, Liverpool Heart and Chest. He was in Intensive care for 9 days and then on the Acute ward for another week. He has made an exceptional recovery (in the words of his consultant). He is home and has an ICD fitted in his chest in case of any future events.
So many friends and colleagues have sent messages of support to us and our family and asked if there is anything they could do. Therefore, we have decided to raise money for a Defibrillator siting in the Centre in Liverpool ( The Quaker Meeting House) where he had his incident. This will allow for a rapid response for both the Centre and the surrounding area and ensure others can access the lifesaving equipment they need. We are liaising with British Heart Foundation to provide this.
Any contributions are welcome, and we thank everyone for their unwavering support and kindness shown to us.
