Lindsey Berger is a beautiful, funny and strong willed 26 year old. Anyone who is around her for a short period falls in love with her.
When Lindsey was 10 months old she was diagnosed with mild cerebral palsy and development delay. At 13 months, Lindsey developed seizures and the road to her long medical journey began.
From 13 months until 4 years old, Lindsey was in and out of hospitals almost monthly. Lindsey had a surgery to remove a lesion on the left side of her brain. Lindsey has been thriving and doing well; through the years, she would have breakthrough seizures but most of the time, it would only require a minimal hospital stay.
In mid July 2020, Lindsey began to have issues in addition to seizures. She has had migraines, chronic pain, her legs started to buckle, you name it, she had it. To make a long story short, the Berger's are beginning their 14th day in the hospital and they are still trying to determine what is causing all of these issues. Lindsey is scared, doesn't know what's going on and wants to be home. John and Cindy are holding up the best they can but they are not working right now as they are taking care of Lindsey. The doctors are trying to get Lindsey transferred to
UT Southwestern Hospital-Zale Lipshy but they are having to wait as of now. Please pray for this to happen sooner than later.
So many of you have asked "what can we do". So we decided to start this go fund me without telling the Berger's because we know they wouldn't want us to do it. Sometimes you have to make people let you help them. We know hospital bills are piling up and we want to help ease a little of their worry.
