Repairing a New Computer

Beer spilled onto my brand new MacBook Pro that I had saved up to buy during dinner one night- leaving me with a grey screen. I've been told it could cost me up to the price of buying a new one just to fix it. Hoping it's less since I still need it for both my work and my art!
