Alyssa is a 2nd grader at Dr. Walter Cooper Academy in Rochester, NY. As a young child she experienced tremendous obstacles but was blessed when she along with her 2.5 year old brother Houston was adopted by a loving family. Last week, that loving family was changed forever. She lost her mom to Ovarian Cancer. Due to financial hardships, the family is unable to cremate their loved one. Alyssa speaks with such love and care about her mom and the needs of her family. The family needs funds to send her mom home with a proper ceremony. It breaks my heart.
