In Need of a Working Vehicle

Hi, my name is April Crider, I live in NJ, wife, homemaker and mother of 1 daughter plus her live in boyfriend. I don't normally reach out for help like this and I have never used this fundraiser type before. It seems like I am always giving when I can, and I am not complaining, just we fell into a big rut this year.

My husband and I are both USAF Veteran's and recently of last year August 2022 I lost my leg above the knee. I won't get into all the gritty details of it, but I am in a wheelchair, and we only have 1 vehicle and that is the one pictured above me. Its a 2004 Jeep Liberty and the transmission is going. Some may say just fix the transmission but it keeps having problems, I can't roll down my window, there's his seat, then his window, and then some light is always coming on behind the wheel. We have always had vehicles that last only so long then they quit on us. I am very grateful to those who have helped us over the years. I was thinking of refinancing the house or my husband taking money out of his pension then having to payback everything. But in the long run its almost not worth it. He and I are struggling. We need a vehicle that is a right fit for us, for me. There has to be room in the trunk for my wheelchair. Plus I don't want to receive a knock on my door from a police officer because the transmission went while my husband was driving. The mechanic gave him very little time to drive the jeep and he can't go far anyways. My husband also said it stutters too, so if there's a family emergency I don't know how that's going to work out.

I am not asking for a whole lot, would love a prayer or maybe any advice you could offer to us. Thank you in advance.
