Maddie and I have been friends for over 30 years. From the moment we met, it was impossible not to notice her ability to influence and inspire people around her and her deep belief in our generation and what we could achieve together, born out of the early acid house and dance scene.

Through her vision with Coalesce, Maddie brought people together across every difference you can imagine, class, status, culture, background & for me, that spirit perfectly echoed the early days of the house and acid house movement during the early 80s, where different lives and lifestyles collided, connected, and grew side by side on the dancefloor.

Like then at Coalesce, friendships were formed, relationships blossomed, and a genuine sense of community took hold. It wasn’t just about the music, it was about the care we showed one another, the way we created a space where everyone felt safe to dance, celebrate, and fully be themselves.

In more recent years, Maddie has been facing several serious health challenges. Throughout it all, John has stood by her unwaveringly, offering constant love and support. Despite how tough things have been, they still found the strength to tie the knot, continue supporting others’ events, and even give us two unforgettable Coalesce parties, both huge successes.

Now, it’s time for us to support them.

Maddie and John are finally moving into a safer, healthier home, which is a huge step that has been a long time coming. After years of setbacks, they’ve never complained and never asked for help. This move marks a fresh chapter, but it comes with real financial pressure.

We’re raising funds to help Maddie and John as they take this important next step.
