Mickey Moose Rescue Fund

Thank you, my beloved friends for clicking on my link.  Now onto the gusto.


Back in December, someone very close to me had an emergency with her pet cat.  This young, year old kitten’s name is Mickey, a charming and happy kitty with a black spot on his nose.  Unfortunately, he recently had medical issues stemming from a visit to the vet, where he contracted the Calicivirus; a virus that caused his paws to bleed, his face to lose fur, his breathing to become irregular, and he was on the verge of death as the virus prevented him from eating, and maintaining regular activity.  


Amanda was struck with grief, and she underwent one of the hardest holiday seasons she had to endure.  After several visits to two different vets, including three surgical procedures, Mickey was able to combat the Calicivirus, and after seven weeks of infection, is finally back to himself, playing with toys and loving the company of his family.


Unfortunately, the surgical procedures (inserting draining tubes, removing styes, etc.), and visits have racked up a tremendous bill for her family.  But due to malpractice on one facility’s part, some of the billing has been removed and refunded.  Finally some fortune came to Mickey, and his family who unloaded tremendous holiday funds into his health.  What has originally been over $3,600 has thankfully come down to half of that.


My friends, you would do tremendous to help Amanda’s family in helping cover the medical bills.  I am spearheading this campaign to ask for $1,500.  Anything donated in excess by the 14th would be donated to the ASPCA.
