5/13/2024 Declan had his second surgery today where they removed approximately 6 cm of his intestines. He also has a colostomy bag which he will have for 6-8 weeks to give him time to heal. This tiny babe is a fighter. Please continue to pray for him and Ronan.

5/13/2024 Declan underwent surgery over the weekend to remove a portion of his colon. He is currently being prepped for another surgery. The St. Louis Children’s Hospital staff has stated to expect him to be there for at least eight weeks. Ronan is still in the NICU in Springfield and at this time, is doing well.

UPDATE: Declan will be undergoing surgery this evening. Please lift him up in your prayers.

On May 2, 2024 Kiara had an emergency C-section at 31 weeks which brought two perfect twin boys into the world. Declan weighing 2 pounds 12 ounces and Ronan weighing 3 pounds 6 ounces. Both of the boys have been in the NICU in Matt and Kiara’s hometown. Yesterday, they received news that Declan has an infection which has placed him in critical but stable condition. Due to his size and the seriousness of the infection, he was life flighted to a children’s hospital more than three hours away. Now they are left trying to juggle the NICU life but with one baby in Springfield and one in St. Louis. They also have a five year old son. If you know Matt and Kiara, you know that they never ask for anything and are always the first to show up and help anyone with anything. Matt is the sole provider for this now family of five and finances should be the last thing on their minds. We would like to help alleviate the financial stress of their current situation so that they can focus on their boys.
