Hope For Jax
Donation protected
Edit, Jax sadly lost her battle with MND on the 28th June. As a family we’re heartbroken, but we’ll continue to raise funds throughout the coming years. In a final act of bravery she donated her spinal column and brain to MND research, to help others.
Welcome to our fundraising page. Our family is embarking on 7 challenges across 2023 to raise funds for Motor Neurone Disease, a rare condition that progressively damages parts of the nervous system. MND is life-shortening and there is no cure. Although the disease will progress, symptoms can be managed to help achieve the best possible quality of life.
Our wonderful Jax (Wife, Mother, Sister and Aunty) was diagnosed with the disease in 2022 and continues to amaze us with her bravery, optimism and courage. It's a devastating condition to live with, but the support and determination of the wider MND community inspired us to attempt to raise £20,237 (2023 - 7 challenges) to help fund research, improve care and provide support for people with MND.
Funds raised will be donated to the Cleveland Branch of the MND association and My Name'5 Doddie foundation.
