Supporting Alex - Stage 3C Colon Cancer

Dear families and friends of the community,

This past June our friend and coworker Alex Cruz was diagnosed with stage 3C Colon Cancer. Alex is a beloved member of our community who has been working as a barista at Recreo Coffee for over 4 years. His dedication and loyalty have been rewarded with many friendships over all these years. Almost immediately after his diagnosis, Alex underwent a critical operation to remove the tumor from his colon and the next step in his journey to recovery is undergoing 6 months of chemotherapy. After the initial shock of his diagnosis settled, we have immediately shifted to ways to support our beloved friend during this difficult time.  One of the ways we have decided to do this is by setting up a Go Fund Me. 
Our goal in creating this page for Alex is to help lessen the unexpected high financial burden that him and his mom Elda Solares faces during this time.   All contributes will go towards Alex's prompt medical bills as he continues on his path to recovery. Your contribution will be much appreciated since it will reduce financial burdens him and his mom Elda as well as emotional strain.
