Hi, my name is Klaudia — I’m a second-year medical student and lifelong animal lover.
I’m someone who has always taken pride in caring for others, whether through my work in medicine, my family, or the pets who’ve become my world. Today, I’m reaching out during one of the hardest moments I’ve faced — my sweet cat Oliver is currently hospitalized with a life-threatening urethral obstruction caused by bladder stones.
He was admitted early this morning and will remain under intensive veterinary care until at least Monday, with hopes of returning home by Tuesday. The total cost for emergency stabilization, urinary catheterization, IV fluids, and a cystotomy (surgical removal of the bladder stones) has been quoted at approximately $7,000.
This situation has brought me back to a very painful memory — losing my dog Freddie to kidney disease last Thanksgiving. The grief of that loss is still fresh, and I can’t bear the thought of losing another pet. Oliver has been my constant through medical school — offering peace in the chaos, comfort in the stress, and companionship through it all.
I’m beyond grateful for the incredible care from Countryside Veterinary Center and the support I’ve already received from so many kind friends and loved ones.
If you’re able to donate, share, or simply send good energy our way, it would mean more than I can express. Thank you for being here — for reading, for caring, and for helping me fight for Oliver.
