This year, for my birthday, I am starting a fundraiser for a little girl in Nepal named Khushi to get her through high school and I could use your support. She was being raised by a single mother in a village in East Nepal when Covid-19 hit. They ran a small tea and grocery shop that relied primarily on tourists and could not survive the impact of the pandemic. As a result, she has been out of school for a year now.
So far, my family has offered to take her in and provide her with food, shelter, and love as her mother works abroad as an at-home nanny. My hope is to support her education through high-school with your help. At $90/month, her annual education cost is $1080. Stretch that out for four years, and that sets the goal at a total of $4320. I was just like her eleven years ago and someone believed in me enough to put me through school. That’s the only reason I am able to be amongst you all today. So, I reach out to you because I know that together we can ensure that there is one beautiful, intelligent girl in Nepal who gets to stay in school and fulfill her dream of one day becoming a lawyer.
