Run For Arnes

On September 27, I will be celebrating my golden birthday, and in celebrating I wanted to take the opportunity to do something special.

Camp Arnes is a Christian camp north of Gimli, Manitoba, which does remarkable work for children, youth and young people here in Manitoba (https://www.camparnes.com/)

As like many other organizations, financial hardships were dealt to Camp Arnes by the Covid-19 pandemic. So, as marathon cancellations piled up, I dreamed of a way to support Arnes through running.

That is why, on September 27, when I turn 27, I will be running 27 miles to raise funds in support of Camp Arnes.

I am seeking (at least) 27 individuals to pledge (at least) 27 dollars with all proceeds going directly towards Arnes.

If you are interested in joining me, there are a couple things you can do:

Pledge: Contact me to add your name to a pledge sheet. Upon completing the run, I will provide proof of completion and will ask you to complete your donation to the GoFundMe campaign for Camp Arnes at that time;

Give: If you trust my ability to complete this distance, you can give to the GoFundMe Campaign now to immediately benefit Camp Arnes, and to allow me to modify fundraising goals if we have a surplus of donors; and

Participate: I will be running a 9 mile loop around the Minnetonka/Pulberry neighbourhoods in St. Vital  (maps to come). You are invited to join me for any distance, at your own pace and in your own way on the roads and sidewalks that morning, whether running, walking, biking, or rollerblading - it can be a morning of activity for the whole family!
