Hi. My name is Rachel. I am from the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, but am currently living in Corona, California. My husband Ken found work out here and now we are moving here. We have only been here for 74 days and already we've had a truck stolen, which was full of Ken's tools (was insured) and now my electric wheelchair, right in front of my house, right in broad daylight, within a 45 minute time span, and no one saw anything.

The police are looking for it, but if they haven't already found it, I am doubtful that they will.

I have MS. I can't walk but a few steps if I have something to hold on to. I have zero balance, so one step unassisted and I will fall, hard. Dead weight. I can't catch myself.

The thing is, I live in an RV motorhome. It is easier for me to get around because it's so small. There are bars everywhere that I can hang onto and close walls that can catch me when I fall.

Therefore, I can't have a wheelchair in the RV. What I need it for is to go anywhere, even to the end of the driveway. I am useless without it.

All this to say that I need a very lightweight, electric wheelchair that folds up and goes in my car. That's the one I had stolen from me. I hadn't even finished paying it off. It cost me $2,500 and now a new one is going to cost me another $2,400.

I really need it very badly. I feel so useless without it. I can't go anywhere or do anything.

Somebody suggested that I do a Go Fund Me, so here I am. I found a wheelchair that is in Tustin and they will deliver it to me in a day or two. It is only 41 lbs so my husband can lift it into the car. It isn't pink (my deceased mother's favorite color) but black it is!

I can't tell you how disappointing it is that someone would be so evil as to steal a handicapped woman's wheelchair. I never thought I'd see the day.

If there is anyone out there with some compassion or empathy for me, I would really love to know because this thing has brought me way down.
