CASLV Windmill Drone Team

We are thrilled to announce that Coral Academy of Las Vegas, Nevada, Windmill REC Drone Teams 77733A, 77733B, and 77733C are preparing for their first competition in Syracuse, Utah in early February.

At this time, there are not many teams registered on the West Coast. Being the first REC Drone Team to register in Clark County, we are trying to change this and help the student interest grow.

There are several benefits of the Drone Team, such as: making new friendships, programming and coding, piloting a drone through an obstacle course, logging the engineering design process, communication skills, teamwork, and so much more.

Drone Pilots are in high demand right now and the potential is limitless. Drone Pilots are needed for Search and Rescue Missions, News Reports, Weather, Construction, Agriculture, Military, and several other areas. Going beyond the confines of terrestrial airspace, drones are also increasingly used for space exploration. Careers in drones and drone technology are growing rapidly, and students with early and in-depth experience with drones will have a distinct advantage in future careers that rely on the technology.
