In September 2024I was arrested and charged with 2 misdemeanors; disturbing the peace and peaceful picketing for

Palestine. I was told I don't qualify for an attorney because they are not seeking jail time. But then the judge told me last week that if I get an attorney, they will put jail on the table along with 3 years probation, and a $5, 000 fine. I have never been in trouble with the law. How is this happening in America? I've been to over a hundred protests.This has never happened before. I've had 3 court dates for this. And every time they're trying to get me to do diversion or to just plead guilty, I i'm on a fixed income, so I am making this gofund.me to get help for lawyer fees.
