I am a retired navy and army veteran. In the past couple years, I was diagnosed with ALS due to my service. ALS is a terminal illness that progresses very quickly and I have very limited time left. 

I have provided for my family my whole life. Because of this disease, I am no longer able to provide for my wife, and I want to ensure she will be okay when I am gone. 

ALS was a shocking diagnosis for my family and it has changed many things in my life. I have limited mobility and will eventually lose all motor functions. My wife has been my caregiver in this time and she has had to take on an incredible amount of responsibility in a very short time. 

We are in a very hard time financially because of how quickly this has progressed.
