Hi. Our pup is in the hospital again. This time she is fighting an unknown illness. We have cared for her during the week at home and she seemed to be getting slightly better. Then her puppy sister passed this past weekend. Between the sickness and stress, we cannot get our girl well. She is not retaining fluids and is hospitalized on a constant IV drip and medicine. The vet bills are quickly adding up. We’ve used most of our savings at this point and if any additional care is needed outside of the estimate, we are unsure if we can afford it.
I’m so embarrassed to be in this situation again. We are choosing to be humble and ask for help.

Pupdate: they think that Melody is having what is called an Addisonian crisis. The current hypothesis is that she has developed Addison’s Disease. Over 30% of pet owners discover that their pup has Addison’s Disease because of a crisis like this.
