My name is Honorine Kemjio, and I have sickle cell disease. I recently had a heart procedure with complications and spent over 2 months in intensive care. While still recovering, I had a stroke and doctors were quite pessimistic about my case. They predicted issues with my right side, even thinking I won’t be able to use my right hand again. I am right-handed so such a news was a big blow.

But by God’s grace my right hand has limited mobility now. It’s better than nothing. Simple gestures like teeth brushing are still very challenging. So I have to work with a physical therapist to improve. My insurance does not cover the cost, which is quite high. I am asking help to be able to pay at least few sessions. Giving my health conditions I have not been able to work. My meager savings were used for co-pay and I have nothing left. Your help would be highly appreciated as I try to get back to a somewhat normal life.
