Hi, my names Rhiannon, daughter of Nadine and step daughter of Paul Shipway.

2 days ago at 4.30pm (Thursday, 3 November) Paul was riding home on his motorbike, through the small town of Dunoon. Unfortunately an intoxicated man behind the wheel of his car didn’t check before pulling onto the road to perform a u-turn.

Paul ended up having CPR performed on him by 2 nurses who were thankfully at the scene. They airlifted Paul to Gold Coast university hospital and put him in the ICU. Paul has 2 shattered vertebrae (C3 & C4), 3 broken ribs from the life saving CPR, and is fighting for his life and mobility in hospital. They have moved him to Brisbane for spinal surgery today (Saturday, 5 November).

This is going to be a very long process of recovery (3-6 months). Paul is a contractor and won’t be able to earn any income during this time. I want to make this process that little bit easier for Paul by raising $15 000.
