My Brother N Law Lenny Cancer Fight
Donation protected
My name is Lisa and I am writing on behalf of my Brother in Law Lenny and the fight of his life.
In late September of 2015, Lenny began to have some back pain, thinking it was a pulled muscle he didnt think to much of it. By November when the pain was getting worse he went to the Dr. and began to have physical therapy when the therapist suggested a MRI to make sure nothing new or prehaps an old injury was contributing to the pain.
On December 16, 2015 two hours after his MRI the news came that no one could have imagined or expected. Lenny has Multiple Myeloma and was admitted to the hospital immediately. This particular cancer has 3 stages and is form of blood cancer that develops in the bone marrow. This cancer is a liquid cancer that affects plasma cells, growing out of control in your blood and actually creating holes in your bones (like swiss cheese) causing horrible pain, weakness and brittle bones. There is no cure for multiple myeloma.
Two months later , 40 pounds lighter and several trip to the University of Cleveland for radiation ,we are hoping Lenny can start chemo very soon. The next step will be a possible stem cell transplant which would require a 4-6 week stay in the hospital. Lenny being at stage 2 needs this to happen. The cost is overwhelming.
I know myself and my family would be so grateful and appreciative for any help you could give. We are praying that God sees us through this trial , giving us strength , love and wisdom along the way.
Thank you for listening and God Bless.
Sincerely,
Lisa Baglieri
